A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Whole Body Health
Hello! My name is Haley Staat. I am a personal trainer and Pilates instructor in the Mill Creek/ Snohomish area. I am passionate about teaching people how to move properly and effectively and to just have FUN! I live near the valley with my husband and I love to travel and spend lots of time in the great outdoors hiking, backpacking, gardening and just hanging out with friends. How lucky are we that the pacific northwest has so many beautiful places to hike!
I am also an avid baker, soooo, little opposite of all the active things I do! Oh well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Little Background:
Ever since I was a young child I enjoyed being active. I grew up playing multiple sports all the way through high school. It wasn’t until I was in high school that I started to become interested in nutrition. I did all sorts of research and tried some interesting diets! One of which was one called “the blood type diet.” It was an experience for sure, and unfortunately that diet along with many others, don’t have science backing it up. Fortunately, however, this sparked my desire to learn more about the human body and I also started learning anatomy. This is what ultimately set the course for the next few years of my life. After high school I went to a small college in Santa Barbara, called Westmont College. I immediately applied to be a Kinesiology Major, the study of movement, and I LOVED it. The human body is so amazing in all that it does and what it can accomplish!
I’ve been helping clients from the greater Seattle area with their fitness training since 2014. Over the last 7 years I have learned so much about myself, what I am passionate about and how I can continually be a better coach. I am a certified Personal trainer through the NSCA, a certified Therapeutic Exercise Specialist and STOTT Pilates Certified. I firmly believe in the positive benefits fitness brings to all areas of our lives.
